HOTA, Home of the Arts:

In tropical parklands with the Surfers Paradise skyline as the backdrop, HOTA, Home of the Arts is a contemporary cultural precinct in the heart of the Gold Coast. HOTA is the Gold Coast’s home of live performances, art, lakeside strolls, stargazing, cinema-watching, conversation, new ideas, and culinary delights. A place where art captures your imagination, where art is for everyone, where art meets life.

Getting to HOTA:

Never been to HOTA before? It’s very easy to find - just on Bundall Road over the bridge from Surfers Paradise. Parking, including wheelchair-accessible parking, is available but limited. HOTA encourages people to use public transport, ride the G:link, jump on the ferry, or come by taxi. If you live locally, active travel is recommended - it’s a chance to enjoy the Gold Coast weather.

Public Transport

We encourage patrons to use public and active transport to travel to and from the event. TransLink’s bus, train and tram network can connect you to places all over the Gold Coast.

Taxis or Ridesharing Services

Taxis on the Gold Coast can be hailed from the kerb on the street or engaged at designated taxi ranks. Gold Coast Cabs can be booked directly on 131 008. A designated set-down and pick-up area is located in the porte-cochère out the front of HOTA.

Parking

Limited patron parking, including wheelchair accessible parking, is available at the HOTA, Home of the Arts. We recommend you arrive one hour before a performance. Parking at HOTA is managed by City of Gold Coast.

HOTA is committed to providing access to the performing arts for visitors with special needs.

Mobility

If you require any mobility assistance, please call the Box Office on 5588 4000 to book your tickets, and notify the staff at this time. We will then arrange for Front of House staff to assist you when you arrive.

Wheelchair access

The Theatres, Outdoor Stage and Cinemas are wheelchair accessible. If you require wheelchair access please notify Box Office when you book your tickets.

Guide, hearing and assistance dogs

We welcome patrons accompanied by guide dogs. Please notify the Box Office staff when you book your tickets.

Companion Card

As an affiliate of the Queensland Government’s Companion Card program, we provide Companion Card holders a second ticket for their chosen companion at no cost. Please request this Box Office when you phone to book your tickets.
