Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition was a series of pieces for piano based on a famous set of paintings which fellow composer Maurice Ravel arranged into an aurally spectacular version for orchestra.
Students can enjoy this musical journey featuring two of Queensland Symphony Orchestra’s stellar members, Irit Silver and Alison Mitchell, performing a world premiere double concerto for flute, clarinet and orchestra, by Australian composer Gordon Kerry.
Also featured is Rimsky-Korsakov's Overture from May Night.
