This afternoon is all about contrasts.

Written in four sections, Saint-Saëns Fantaisie is a light, delicate piece that reflected his recently developed ideas on clarity.

By contrast Khachaturian’s Trio is full of loud patriotism that can be heard in the second and third movement’s folk dances and songs.

Brahms’ Sextet No.1 boasts expansive outer movements with a classical structure and a flamboyant finish.
