On Thursday 17 August at 12.45pm some 50 country children from Tannum Sands State Hight School Concert Band will have a very, very special experience – they will attend a Queensland Symphony Orchestra rehearsal of the upcoming Tangos and Dances concert under the baton of the internationally acclaimed Queensland Symphony Orchestra Music Director, Alondra de la Parra
At the same time in 2017, Queensland Symphony Orchestra and Australia Pacific LNG will celebrate a $1 million funding milestone in support of the Gladstone Enrichment through Music (GEM) Initiative.
You are invited to join Queensland Symphony Orchestra for this special experience and announcement. The GEM Initiative is an innovative partnership between Principal Partner, Australia Pacific LNG, and the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, delivering quality music education and concert experiences to the students and community of Gladstone since 2012. It is making a difference through music, to the lives of kids in the country.
Making the announcement will be Mr David Pratt, Chief Executive, Queensland Symphony Orchestra and Mr Warwick King, Chief Executive Officer, Australia Pacific LNG together with Queensland Symphony Orchestra Music Director Alondra de la Parra.
