Sergio shared these thoughts about his exclusive Brisbane recital:

“This program is very close to my heart, since each piece of music represents a member of my family. My mother’s passionate, vehement and generous personality is revealed in Beethoven’s Appassionata. The Brahms Intermezzo is intense yet full of love and longing, and perfectly depicts my sister. Brahms Waltz siezes a moment in my son Nelson’s life, as it was what I played him when he was a newborn in the hope (to no avail) that it might help him fall asleep. The Debussy is a self portrait. I harbour a more introver ted and contemplative nature than I let people see. It is these at tributes that constitute Debussy’s Reflets dans l ’eau.
