You may be surprised to learn that many children in regional Queensland have little opportunity to develop their skills as musicians. The work of our QSO musicians not only provides music education, it also allows children to receive mentorship from the most skilled musicians in our state – access to tuition and professional musicians, providing life changing learning experiences.

There is much good news to report on our work in the regions, although, there is still a lot more work to be done. There are still too many children and families who we are not able to reach, the barriers are varied; financial, social, physical or simply distance.

We need your help.

“It has been an incredible experience, playing with professional players, it’s been really inspirational and cool, I look forward to it every year.”

“I know first-hand the impact of Queensland Symphony Orchestra programs on students. The opportunity to attend concerts is an invaluable, life changing opportunity for students. It’s important from an education and social context, and working with the QSO takes it to a whole new level.”
