Robert Hofmann

Robert is versatile singer and actor who has sung over 20 roles with West Australian Opera including Dr Bartolo in The Marriage of Figaro, Don Basilio in The Barber of Seville, Koko in The Mikado, Dulcamara in The Elixir of Love, Falke in Die Fledermaus and Hobson in Peter Grimes. He has also performed for Opera Australia in Sydney. For Perth-based Freeze Frame Opera, he has performed the title role in Gianni Schicchi, a German cabaret set in Opera Truck-o-rama and Michonnet in Adrian Lecouvreur,

His musical theatre credits include Barry Fife in Strictly Ballroom with Drew Anthony Creative, Baron Hardup in Cinderella Pantomime with Zealous Productions and Cinderella’s Father in Into the Woods with West Australian Opera

Robert’s one-man, multi-character cabaret shows including Desperately Young at Heart and What the Fandango?! have received rave reviews at His Majesty’s Theatre (Perth), Perth Writers’ Festival, Fringe Festivals in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Edinburgh, and off Broadway New York City.  

As a concert soloist he has performed the Bach Passions and Mass in B Minor, Messiah, and Mozart Requiem with St Georges Cathedral Consort under the direction of Dr Joseph Nolan as well as appearances with University of Western Australia Choral Society, Perth Symphonic Chorus and Perth Symphony Orchestra.
