Current Vacancies

Associate Principal Horn

Position is only open to Australian citizens and permanent residents and New Zealand citizens.

Auditions will be held on Wednesday 23 May 2018. Applicants are required to be available for the whole day and an accompanist will be provided.

Audition Requirements:

• Mozart Horn Concerto No 4: First Movement (with piano accompaniment)
• Strauss Horn Concerto No 1: Complete (with piano accompaniment)
• Orchestral excerpts will be available on website via a provided download link four weeks  prior to audition date

Recorded auditions will be accepted on DVD or USB format only. Candidates submitting recorded auditions must ensure your recording is received no later than 4:00pm on Friday 18 May 2018.

Salary range for Associate Principal: $84,004 to $88,708 package including 9.5% superannuation, plus allowances.

Outbound Sales Consultants

Queensland Symphony Orchestra is looking for part time outbound sales people to help promote upcoming performances and our concert seasons!  We need experienced, articulate, friendly lovers of the performing arts with a real passion for sales to join our successful team.

To be successful in your application you must be able to work 12-20 hours per week 4-8pm Monday to Friday commencing immediately with a six month commitment.

Ideally you will have telephone experience with inbound or outbound sales in a highly energised environment. Also, an interest in classical music is highly desirable. In return you can expect a fantastic place to work, good pay rates and an incentive structure that rewards excellent performance.
