Kenneth Harris

Growing up in Canberra, Ken’s first instrument was clarinet but transitioned to Double Bass and had his first lessons from Justin Bullock. After finishing high school, ken moved to Melbourne and studied with Rob Nairn and Ben Hanlon at the University of Melbourne with an Orchestral Excellence Scholarship.

In 2019 Ken moved to Queensland where he studied from Dušan Walkowicz and Marian Heckenberg at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music. In 2021 Ken was a student of Damien Eckersley at the Australian National Academy of Music. Ken Has toured and performed in Singapore, China, Korea and performs with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and Orchestra Victoria.

One of Kens most memorable musical moments is premiering and recording a solo piece for Double Bass by Elizabeth Younan which was apart of the ANAM set project.
